Georgian Association of Radiology (GAR) is an apolitical, non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening and developing radiology in Georgia. Its aim is to implement the newest methods of radiology and unify the radiologists all over Georgia in order to coordinate the scientific, intellectual and professional activities of its members. The GAR is guided by the principles of independence, quality, objectivity, and transparency when carrying out its mission and serve the healthcare needs of the Georgian population and support scientific researches, education and training in Radiology.
The GAR developed a code of ethics for its members, which represents a set of ethical principles and professional responsibilities to guide radiologists’ conduct in their relationships with patients, colleagues and society.
The GAR tries to establish relationships with major international radiological organizations and other related fields of medicine and maintain the EU level which could have an impact on research and practice in radiology in our country.
